Snaefellsnes Peninsula in Iceland is a very popular spot for travellers to Iceland. Fjords, cliff walks, volcanic peaks, glaciers and beaches are some of the highlights.
Given that we were doing the walk close to midday and it was such a bright day, there were some pretty deep shadows. I tried my hand at some HDR photography and used Aurora HDR to post-process the photo above.
After the hike, we had a quick lunch in the car and drove to the nearby and iconic Black Church of Búðir. It was a beautiful little church (I know I’ve said t his about many churches in Iceland!). It was also the start of a few hiking routes for those who are keen to hike.
I love shooting out from the front seat of the car. Even though it can be tough shooting from a moving vehicle (not driving!) you can get some pretty cool shots from that point of view. The photo below is a classic shot of the Icelandic roads and landscape.
The photo below is the typical moss covered lava fields that are everywhere in Iceland.
Thanks for stopping by today.
