I had a bit of time before meeting a friend for lunch in Perth City, so I found myself in exploring Brookfield place and Raine Square. I’m glad I brought along my camera even though I didn’t think I would be doing any photography. This is why people say always bring your camera! I just couldn’t past up the chance to shoot around the very quiet Brookfield Place. During the week the place is bustling with office workers and restaurant goers. During the weekend it’s pretty much a ghost town.
Shooting urban architecture is one of my favourite things to do when I’m exploring a city with my camera. Here are my highlights from yesterday’s short shoot. I started out at Brookfield Place then meandered my way to King Street and Raine Square. I was attracted to photographing reflections of buildings on buildings. I also tried to utilise the pools of rain water on the ground after a rainy morning for my reflection shots. I also wanted to create photos with strong lights and shadows and photos with a feeling of quietness.
Thanks for stopping by today.
