The Brookfield Winter Lights festival has been held in Perth for the last few years. Every year there is a different theme to the light projections. I can’t quite remember what the theme was in 2017. Last year they had a cool arcade theme going on. This year they had a fun and whimsical circus theme. Along with some food trucks and performances.
We decided to hold an impromptu unofficial Fuji X Aus Perth meet up before the light festival finished on the weekend. It was lovely to see some familiar faces and also to meet a new one. I spent an hour or so walking around the area. As it was a Friday evening and during school holidays, it was very crowded with people taking photos and enjoying the lights. The camera configuration for the evening was a Fujifilm X-T2 and the 23mm f2. Rather than focusing on the lights itself, I tried to focus on people enjoying the lights.

I had used the Fujifilm X-T2 for several weeks during a trip to Iceland and the UK a couple of years ago (thanks to Fujifilm Australia for the loan), so it was familiar to be using it again for a couple of days. The 23mm f2 held up pretty well. As it was a relatively wide angle, I had to get a bit creative in getting my shots. Thanks for stopping by today.
