Henry M in Manning open back in December 2021. It’s one of the new kids on the block that is very popular with the locals. Been meaning to try it out since it’s relatively close to where we live. We had the opportunity to visit a few weekends ago. Despite the rainy and storming weather that weekend, the place was packed with brunch-goers.
I really like the modern art decor style interior and the sage green theme throughout. The menu had a mix of your classic brunch dishes as well as few twists of their own. We tried the Double Cheese Burger and the Wild Mushroom & Crispy Polenta dish. Both were savoury and tasty. Henry M’s used Five Senses Coffee, a staple of many cafes in Perth. We got our usual espresso style coffees to go with our brunch. Given the cold weather, a mug of hot coffee was just what we needed to wake us up and warm us up.
The cafe was so aesthetic that I couldn’t help myself. I had to take some photos and share it on here. These photos were taken on the X-T4 with the 23mm f2 lens. It’s my go-to lens for me when I shoot interior-style images. It’s just wide enough to capture the environment, but also close enough to do a mix of detail and environmental images.
There were a few other brunch menu items that we’re keen to try out, so I have no doubt we will be back again. We also found out they are open for dinner and have a pretty interesting dinner menu. Modern Australian share-plate style food. They are also a licensed venue with plenty of drink options on the go, from wines to spirits. The terrazzo tiles for the tables and bench tops added a nice touch. They were popular in the 1970s and they’re now back in rage. Bringing the old into the new age.
Thanks for stopping by today and happy shooting.
