When Presto Photo got in contact with me asking if I was interested in reviewing one of their products my ears perked up. I noticed they offered a range of photo products including photobooks, wall art, calendars and so forth. I have yet to try my hand at printing wall art for the home so I was keen to check out their products and try out their online ordering system. This is my impressions and review of the their canvas print and ultra gloss metal print.

The latest square format instant film camera from Fujifilm called the Instax SQ1 was released in October 2020. This is the second instant camera I’ve used so far. The first was the Instax LiPlay. The Instax SQ1 is different to the LiPlay in that the SQ1 is a straight analogue instant camera and also shoots square format film rather than mini format film. Shooting on a camera that produces instant film and have relatively have few controls to slow you down, you get to focus on light and composition when taking photos.

Blurb is a online publishing platform that allows anyone to create, self-publish, share and sell their own prints, wall art, books and ebooks. It’s been a long time since I made a photo book. The last book I made was over a decade ago using Photobook Australia. It was a small square softcover book that I put together after my first trip to Melbourne with friends. Since then I’ve been meaning to make another photobook but haven’t found the time, motivation or the right story to tell. Lightroom has had the book module that integrates with Blurb Books for a long time and it’s always been on the back of my mind to try it out.
