Being the Easter long weekend, I didn’t expect a large turn out for the Perth Fuji X Aus meet up. I was pleasantly surprised to find there were a total of 12 photographers who rocked up to John Oldham Park in Perth on Easter Saturday. For those who don’t know, John Oldham Park is a lovely little inner city park just next to the Mitchell Freeway in Perth. There are walkpaths within the park, a playground, a giant slide and even a small but beautiful waterfall within the park.

[Read more…]Back in December last year, I attended a street photography workshop in Perth called Hit The Streets. It was a 3 hour workshop that started off with a couple of talks then a photo walk around Perth. Fellow Perth photographers Seng Mah and Sean Breadsell gave some insightful hints and tips on street photography.
[Read more…]Landscape photography has become one of my favourite genres of photography since I changed over to the Fujifilm X mirrorless camera system. It’s hard to go wrong with the combination of experiencing nature and its beauty with the creativity of photography. When I heard from our fellow FXA Perth reps Gus and Chong that they were looking into organising FXA Perth’s first ever landscape photography workshop down in Margaret River, I was stoked! I was also excited to hear a fellow FXA Facebook community member James Posilero will be running the workshop. I’ve long admired his beautiful landscape photography that he shares in the group. It was a fun and educational weekend down in the Margaret River region of Western Australia. It was also the perfect sized group of 6 photographers. We got to know each other, our photography interests and also learned from each other.
