I had a great time meeting up with our (small) group of Perth Fuji X Aus photographers down in Fremantle on the weekend. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon to be walking around Fremantle. We met up at the entrance of Fremantle Markets and spent a bit of time catching up with fellow photographers and meeting new ones. I always find it so enjoyable getting to chat to others about photography and what we shoot. As always we can count on Fujifilm Australia to send in some cool merchandise to our awesome Perth Reps.

Quaint village of Seyðisfjörður, East Fjord Iceland
Back to Iceland stories. Seyðisfjörður is a small village of around 600 inhabitants in the east fjords of Iceland. It was long drive from Black Diamond Beach all the way to Seyðisfjörður. By the time we got to Seyðisfjörður it was night fall and the drive to the village was dark and windy. However it was one of villages that I unexpected really liked. It was also one of our memorable stops because it was the first night we had a glimpse of the Northern Lights! After a quick dinner, we stood out in the freezing cold hoping the cloud would clear up for us to see the Northern Lights. However luck was not on our side that night.
Persimmon Festival, Western Australia
Back in May, Raeburn Orchards in the hills hosted it first ever official Persimmon Festival. It was a beautiful sunny autumn day. The bright orange leaves contrasted perfectly against the blue sky. While it was advertised as a persimmon festival, the orchard also grew plums, nectarines, apricots, pears, apples and many more. The orchard was filled people picnicking, photographing each other and photographing the autumn colours. These are some of my favourite shots from the few hours we spent walking around.
