Don Tapas at The Mantle in Fremantle

2016.08.30_DonTapas-03

I heard about The Mantle in Fremantle a little while ago but never got a chance to check it out until recently. This cool little warehouse space houses several different pop up restaurants. Don Tapas is one of them and it looks to be its permanent home! The Mantle is located just a little bit outside of the heart of Fremantle. It is also home to the famous Short Order Burgers (that’s only open on certain days/nights) and a cool bar called Alter Ego, which is right next to Don Tapas.

My friend and I headed out to Fremantle to do some gift shopping on a weekend and decided to pop by Don Tapas for lunch. Don Tapas serves up tasty Latin American food in a casual dining setting, with some Asian flavours. It also makes for a nice place to catch up with friends over good food and drinks.

I started my lunch with a a warm mulled sake with a slice of lemon from Alter Ego. It was the perfect drink for a cold winter’s day.

We decided to have a light lunch and shared three dishes on the menu. Goats Cheese Sake Wontons, Mushroom & broccoli with chilli oil and pork belly & eggplant. As expected the dishes were beautifully presented, I’ll let the images speak for itself.

I definitely want to come back to The Mantle and check out the famous Short Order Burgers that people seem to rave about.

Thanks for stopping by today.
