Wanneroo Pines has been on my list of photography spots in Perth for a little while. I’ve seen photos from portrait and engagement sessions and was keen to check it out. A couple of weekends ago, a group of friends and I headed to Joondalup to do an Escape Room challenge and given I was in the area I took the opportunity to check it out. It turned out that Wanneroo Pines was right next to Lake Joondalup. There was a lovely 16km lake circuit for walkers and cyclist that we didn’t have time to do as the weather was starting to turn. Just as we got back to the car it had started raining.
As we were there fairly early in the afternoon, the lighting and shadows were pretty harsh. I spent a bit of time in Lightroom to bring out the colours and also decided to go with a moody theme for the photos. It’s not often that I take out my Fujinon 18-55mm F/2.8-4 lens in Perth since my preference is to shoot with prime lenses, but the wide angle was perfect to capture this nature reserve.
Thanks for stopping by today.
