Our Fuji X Aus meetup event for July was a casual coffee and Photo Market meetup. We met up at Secret Garden Cafe in South Perth for a morning coffee. It was lovely meet some new faces and chat about photography and gear. It was a chilly winter morning in Perth that Sunday, but thankfully the weather was sunny and bright.
To change things up a bit, we thought it would be fun to check out the South Perth Photo Market. It’s an indoor second hand buy-and-sell market for primarily analogue camera gear. I’m not a film shooter myself but have already wanted to try it out (one day when I have some more time on my hands!). It was interesting to meander around the market and look at the various old school cameras that once was in vogue.
It was mainly a social photography meet up so I didn’t really take too many photos. To go with the analogue theme for the day, I tried shooting using a new film simulation. The Fuji X Weekly’s Color Negative 400 film simulation. It’s definitely very different to my usual photo styles. All the images were taken on the Fujifilm X-T4 and the 35mm f1.4 lens. These are all straight out of camera too with no post-processing or editing.

I really how the retro vibes of the photos. It really matched the the theme of the Photo Market. All in all, it was a lovely morning of photography chats and hangs.
