We started out casual photowalk from Elizabeth Quay, up to the recently closed Green House Restaurant along St Georges Terrace. The defunct building made for some interesting shots. We walked further down the terrace to the Cathedral Square precinct. The COMO Treasury, Church and new City of Perth Library always makes for great subjects and places to photograph in the city. Our last spot of the day before we parted ways was a brief walk through Stirling Gardens next to Perth Council House.
All my shots were taken with my Fujifilm X-T10 and XF 35mm f1.4 combination of camera and lens. It’s not a common configuration I take out but it was the perfect match for a bit of street photography for the day. I also decided to process all my shots in black and white with a small amount of grain. There’s something about the combination of black and white and street shooting.
It was a great experience getting together with other passionate photographers. While we might all have wildly different day jobs, our mutual passion for creativity and photography has connected us together. I’m looking forward to the next meet up in Perth. Thanks for stopping by today.
