This year is the 4 year in a row that I’ve attended Open House Perth event and the second year I volunteered to photograph some of the amazing locations. Each year Open House Perth gets bigger and better and this year was no different. I didn’t make it to as many locations this year compared to last year but I still enjoyed checking out and photographing a number of residential properties. The next series of blog posts will be on my highlights from Open House Perth 2019.
My photography kit for this year’s event was the Fujifilm X100F and the Fujifilm X-T10 with the newly acquired XF14mm f2.8 lens. I was looking forward to using this combination for my shoot this year as I really enjoyed the 23mm focal length (which is what’s on the X100F) but also wanted something wider for interior shots. The 14mm was great for interior images but the 23mm shined at capturing people and details of the spaces.
The Dalkeith Residence has to be one of my favourite locations from this year’s event. I don’t often visit the western suburbs, and certainly not Dalkeith, so it was nice to check out the area again. My the 14mm lens really shined here. The wide angle lens worked well to accentuated the open space. Photographically I really like how the photo of the master bathroom and the reading room turned out. The 14mm lens did a fantastic job of it.
The next featured location from Open House Perth 2019 is Future House. Thanks for stopping by today.
