This is part three of the Open House Perth series (Part one and part two). Today’s post shares images from a new and exciting area of Perth that is still being built, Perth City Link. If you didn’t already know, the Perth City Link project reconnect the CBD with Northbridge for the first time in 100 years. Part of this process means plenty of new buildings to work, live and play in. The project involves sinking the Fremantle rail line from Perth Station to Lake/King streets, moving Wellington Street Bus Station underground and creating multiple new connections between the CBD and Northbridge.
There were two building open to the public in the Kings Square area, 10 Telethon Avenue and 556 Wellington Street. 10 Telethon Avenue already had tenants in the building so we weren’t able to explore the building all that much. 556 Wellington Street on the other hand was still vacant. That meant we were able to take the elevator all the way to top floor and took sweeping views of Perth and the surrounding areas. Architecture photography is one of my favourite genres, so it was exciting to be able to capture these cool buildings and being able to see Perth from a top down view.
I hope you enjoyed photos of two of the newest buildings in Perth. In next and final post of this series, I will be switching back to residential and commercial buildings. Thanks for stopping by today.
