Photographing a first birthday party in Perth

At the end of last year, I was approached by a client to photograph her one year old birthday party that was going to be held at a local community centre. As a photographer I have photographed a number of events for clients but also for family and friends over the years. The client was fantastic, down to earth and easy going when it came to photography. She wanted dome documentary style photography to capture her son Miles’ one year old birthday celebration.

It was an outdoor event with family and friends. They even got a Thai food truck to serve up some delicious Thai dishes and also to round up the event with gelato from Pietro. The weather was a bit touch and go with forecasted rain that afternoon. Thankfully the drizzle only started as the event was winding down and I was on my way out. Miles was such a photogenic and adorable kid. The family were lovely and friendly which made my job as a photographer that much easier.
