Back to Iceland stories. Seyðisfjörður is a small village of around 600 inhabitants in the east fjords of Iceland. It was long drive from Black Diamond Beach all the way to Seyðisfjörður. By the time we got to Seyðisfjörður it was night fall and the drive to the village was dark and windy. However it was one of villages that I unexpected really liked. It was also one of our memorable stops because it was the first night we had a glimpse of the Northern Lights! After a quick dinner, we stood out in the freezing cold hoping the cloud would clear up for us to see the Northern Lights. However luck was not on our side that night.
All was not lost though, we woke up to a picturesque view of the colourful buildings in the village. Two of us got up early to do some photography. Since the village was surrounded by mountains. There was a very large dynamic range that was difficult to capture in one photograph. I ended up doing several bracketed scenes with the intention of doing some HDR processing. The following photos are HDR photo experiments and it was some of the earlier HDR shots I processed with Aurora HDR.
Thanks for stopping by today.
