Yesterday was the first day in few weeks that we’ve had good weather in Perth on the weekend. I headed out to do some solo shooting with the intention of shooting reflections for a photo competition. I was almost joined by a fellow Fuji X Aus Perth shooter. While I didn’t manage to get any decent shots of reflections, I did have a fun time experimenting with my Hoya 10 Stop ND filter. I shot with the Fujifilm X-T10 and the fujinon 18-55mm f2.8-4 lens. My trusty combination when I’m doing any landscape shooting. The 10 stop ND filter allowed me to take Long exposures up to a couple of minutes which meant I could see the cloud and light movements. I shot from when the light was still in the sky to after the sunset when the lights lit up in the city. Despite the freezing cold hands (should have brought my gloves!) I was pretty happy with some of the long exposure shots I got.
It’s not often that I would shoot and then edit my photos in quick succession, to be able to share it so quickly! Below are some of my favourite shots from the couple of hours I hung around South Perth Foreshore.
Thanks for stopping by today. The next installment will be back to my Iceland adventure as promised.
