Babylon Cafe is tucked away behind a rug store in Leederville. You would probably miss it if you weren’t look for it. It has a beautiful and whimsical courtyard to hang out in. The inside of the cafe is small and homely, with it’s retro and hipster styling.
Back in February, I had a couple of days off from work after an overseas trip. I decided to head to Leederville to grab lunch at Babylon Cafe and also to pick up my newly purchased Lowepro camera bag.
I decided to try the Vegie Stack toastie and a flat white to go. The toastie was simple and delicious. The guy behind the counter suggested sriracha chilli sauce to go with. I was skeptical at first but he was not wrong, the sauce and toastie went surprisingly well together.
It was the first time having lunch on my own and it was quite enjoyable sipping my cup of coffee while reading a book. Because it was a weekday, it didn’t have the hustle and bustle of the weekend brunch crowd. It was quite peaceful with a few patrons milling about. The two guys behind the counter were also really friendly.
Thanks for stopping by today.
