The Sydney Opera House is spectacular from afar or close up. It’s a remarkable landmark. If we had more time I definitely would have done the Opera House tour. The Opera House was conceptualised in the 1950s and completed in the 1970s. It was Australia’s most iconic building and number one tourist destination. We walked from Circular Quay, along the foreshore, all the way to the Opera House. As expected the walk was full of tourists. Being late in the afternoon, the light was beautiful and golden.
As the sun disappeared down the horizon, we walked back into the city. We really wanted to try Black Star Pastry’s famous Watermelon cake so we headed back into the CBD. Despite being 6pm in the evening, the dessert bar was filled with patrons. After dessert we headed southwards to Portenos for dinner, a Argentinean inspired restaurant (Reverse order I know).
Thanks for stopping by today.
