Continuing on my Sydney photo series. After my morning exploration of Sydney’s Hyde Park and St Mary’s Cathedral, I continued my walk towards the Sydney’s CBD. As it was a Sunday in the city, the city was packed with shoppers, buskers and tourists. I dropped by Gumption for a coffee in The Strand arcade. If I had more time, the streets of Sydney would be the perfect place to be doing some street photography.
After lunch, I joined the IM FREE Sydney walking tour. When I visited America a few years ago, I found walking tours led by locals to be an interesting way to explore a new city. When I found I’m Free Walking Tours, I was keen to join on my first day in Sydney to get my bearings. I really enjoyed the 3 hour walking tour around Sydney. Our guide Indigo was a friendly twenty something Sydney local and uni student. She was knowledgeable, interesting and had a special interest in history. We started at Town Hall, exploring Sydney’s beginnings and it’s convict colony history, up to modern day Sydney. I would highly recommend doing this walking tour if you have a spare few hours when you’re in Sydney next. Along the way, I had some time to capture the old and new architecture around the city, while listening to the stories and history of this beautiful city. Black and white photography really suits Sydney.
Thanks for stopping by today.
