Harvest Espresso is located along Albany Highway in Victoria Park. It is one of my favourite default places to go to lunch or brunch if I’m stuck for ideas. As the menu is seasonal, there is always something different for me to try. There are also classic breakfast dishes that are always on the menu. I’ve been here at least half a dozen times over the years. I have always enjoyed the food, the coffee and the friendly service.
We headed to Harvest Espresso after visiting Araluen Botanic Gardens (more on that in a future post) for tulip season. By the time we arrived for lunch, it was on the tail end of the lunch session and a few menu items were already sold out. All four of us settled on the Croque Madame ($21.50). It was a delicious toasted sourdough sandwich containing Jamon Serrano and Emmental cheese. Topped with a perfectly cooked fried egg and a generous serving of sauce Mornay on top. The side of garden salad with a vinaigrette dressing give it a freshness that cut through the cheesy goodness and salty cured meat.
Another thing I love about Harvest Espresso is its matcha lattes and coffees. One of my favourite drinks to have here is the dirty matcha latte. For those who are unfamiliar with it, it’s a matcha latte with a shot of espresso on the side. You can add it to taste.
Harvest Espresso continues to be one of my highly recommended Perth food haunts.
Thanks for stopping by today.
